N8 Million Cash Prizes Up For Grabs In Third Edition Of MTN

MTN Nigeria on Tuesday announced that the third edition of the mPulse Spelling Bee Competition will take place in November in Lagos and the top 20 sales will receive over ₦8 million in cash awards.

The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, Adia Sowho, made the announcement in a statement in Lagos.

According to Sowho, the tournament was created to help children increase their vocabulary, participate in healthy competitions, and receive pertinent tools to help them reach their full potential.

“We remain committed to providing more enabling platforms for youth education and empowerment in our communities with the hope that this edition keeps our kids goal orientated, competitive and resilient to conquer challenges.

“In this third edition, the competition, which aims to promote literacy, sharpen comprehension, and improve the vocabulary of kids will be executed in a hybrid format – the first two rounds will be held on the mPulse website, while the grand finale will take place in Lagos on November 19, 2022.

“The winner at the first edition, Snow George, received a ₦2 million scholarship, a laptop, smartphone and mPulse goody bag.

"Her school, Starville School Abuja, received ICT devices, with the top 20 finalists also receiving over ₦4 million in cash and prizes,” she said.

She said that the top 20 sales will receive over ₦8 million in cash awards, computers, smartphones, and other incentives for both the students and their teachers who won the competition.

She continued by saying that the winning school would receive cutting-edge ICT equipment and that the champion will have the chance to spend the day in the role of MTN CEO.

The tournament is accessible to pupils between the ages of nine and fifteen, who must register to take part at the mPulse website.
