NAACP Image Awards 2022: Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML Get Nominations

Nigerian superstars Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, and Omah Lay have all been nominated for the NAACP Image Awards.

The artistes bagged nominations in the Outstanding International Song category in the event which will be organised by the National Association for Advancement of Coloured People.

The event was announced on Tuesday in a virtual affair on NAACP's Instagram page and it was hosted by Kyla Pratt, Marcus Scribner, and singer Tinashe.

Wizkid's nomination is as a result of his smash hit Essence featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, while Tiwa Savage earned hers because of her duet Somebody's Son with Brandy.

Omah Lay received his nomination thanks to his song Understand.

Winners at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards will be revealed in the two-hour live TV special which will see actor and comedian Anthony Anderson host the event scheduled to air on February 26, 2022, at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET.
