Naira, Fuel Scarcity Protest Leaves One Dead In Ibadan

As a result of the violent protest arising from the scarcity of the redesigned Naira notes and fuel, one person has been reportedly killed in Ibadan.

The victim was reportedly killed as violence broke out again in the Apata area of Ibadan.

However, it was reported that security presence was heavy in the area to prevent further degeneration of the conflict.

The violent protest broke out in the early hours of Friday in Ibadan over the inability of residents to access the redesigned Naira notes.

Also, residents especially vehicle owners have been lamenting their inability to afford the product.

These twin issues, residents complained have made them lose valuables, man-hours and millions of naira in terms of businesses.
