Naira, Fuel Scarcity: Wife Of Man Shot During Protest Recoun

The wife of  Gabriel Michael, the man hit by a stray bullet during the recent protest in Abeokuta has narrated how she found out it was her husband's video that was trending.

Taiwo Michael, who is a fashion designer revealed that at first when she saw the video online, she didn’t realise it was her husband until she started receiving calls from people asking if she had heard what happened.

After realising that the man in the video was her husband, Taiwo disclosed that she was later informed that her husband had been taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta for emergency treatment.

A friend of Gabriel, Monsuru Kushimo revealed that both he and Gabriel went out to withdraw and unknowingly to them that there was a protest going on.

Kushimo added that he sought shelter in a house close by until the riot subsided not knowing that his friend had been hit by a stray bullet.

He was later informed that his friend was rushed to the General hospital but found out that he was taken to FMC, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Taiwo also appealed to Nigerians to come to the aid of both her children and her hospitalised husband.

They were reports that Gabriel who was bleeding profusely after he was hit was initially thought to have died.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun also visited the injured Gabriel in the hospital which later confirmed that he was alive.
