Residents of Ogun State were not left out on Friday morning in the escalating protests over the naira scarcity rocking the nation.
Despite President Muhammadu Buhari's recent decision on the extended use of the old N200 notes, demonstrations continue to erupt across the country as citizens look for succour amid the mounting tension.
Youths in Ogun communities expressed their grievances by barricading the Mowe end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and turning back motorists and travellers.
Per reports, the protesters resisted police intervention and threatened to set the police station in the area ablaze.
While the situation in the Ojota area of Lagos has been put under control, it could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report if calm had been restored to communities in Ogun State.
