NANS: Gombe Governor Congratulates New President

Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya has congratulated the new president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Usman Barambu.

The Governor in a statement by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, Ismaila Misili on Thursday complimented Barambu on his achievement at the recent NANS convention.

Governor Yahaya received the news of Barambu who is the first student from Gombe State to be elected NANS president.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Barambu was the National President of Gombe State Students’ Association.

The Governor depicted the new president as a unionist who is passionate and hard-working.

He also lauded Barambu for his excellent track record and leadership qualities. 

Yahaya advised the new President to make use of his wealth of experience in restructuring the association in the interest of Nigerian students.

He further encouraged Barambu to bring honour to the state, promising the support, solidarity and goodwill of the state and its people.
