Naomi Campbell Speaks On Wizkid's Loss, Says Grammy Is Tone

British model Naomi Campbell has knocked organisers of the Grammys after Wizkid's double loss at the recently concluded Award ceremony.

Wizkid's 'Made In Lagos (Deluxe)' was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category alongside Femi Kuti but both lost to Angelique Kidjo's 'Mother Nature'

His smashing single 'Essence' featuring Tems was also nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category but he lost as well.

Reacting to this, Campbell praised Wizkid's 'Made In Lagos', saying that it was phenomenal and the singer is a winner without a doubt.

"To my brother Wizkid, 'MadeinLagos' was beyond a phenomenal album!! WINNER WITHOUT DOUBT!!

"You are the KING of the people that has bought AFROBEATS mainstream. That means more than any academy of any sort," Campbell wrote on her Instagram page.

The supermodel accused the Recording Academy of choosing to be tone-deaf to what is going on in the universe.

She demanded that the academy include categories such as 'Afrobeats Artist of the Year' 'Song of the Year' 'Album of the Year' and all the subcategories that the Afrobeats genre deserves.

"Recording Academy Once again you choose to be tone deaf to what is going in the universe.

"Changing World to Global is not Enough.. get up to speed on the state of all popular music and include Afrobeats Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and all the subcategories that this genre so deserves - just as an other respected and recognized musical genre."

Furthermore, she blamed Wizkid's loss on the wrong categorization. Campbell argued that Wizkid's 'Essence' belonged in the 'Song of the Year' category and not 'Best Global Music Performance' category.

"#MadeinLagos Album and song Essence was clearly in the wrong category how can you ignore the song Essence, the song by Wizkid,q and Tems that was covered and remixed by Justin Bieber, you seem to isolate it under global when it should have been in the song of the year category.

"This is a mis representation and a neglectful categorization of Music ONCE AGAIN. Give Afrobeats the representation it deserves.

"You are ignoring 1.3 billion people It will only make us Rise !! Afrobeats in our hearts Africabeats to the world ! ?❤️??."
