Nasarawa Councilor Suspended For Three Months

The Nasarawa Eggon Legislative Arm has announced the suspension of a Councilor, Hon. Alidzi Akolo Yohanna for three (3) months

Yohanna who represents Igga Burum-Burum electoral ward was suspended over gross misconduct, and relieved of his position as Chief Whip of the House. 

Speaker Amos Kigbu announced this on Thursday during sitting of the House in Nasarawa Eggon. 

Kigbu said the Councilor was suspended for spreading fake news on plots to impeach the council Chairman, Hon. Danlami Idris 

This, the Speaker said constitute an act of gross misconduct, leading to his suspension in order to serve as deterrent to other Members of the House. 

The suspension followed a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Bala Agunji and seconded by Hon. Kasimu Umar Madaki of Mada Station. 

Meanwhile the House confirmed Hon. Obadiah Sunday Enga of Alushi/Ginda council ward  as the new Chief Whip.
