Nasarawa: Court Declares Atose As APC Candidate For Keana Constituency

Nasarawa: Court Declares Atose As APC Candidate For Keana Co

A Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State has declared Muhammad Atose as the validly nominated candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Keana Constituency.

The presiding judge, Justice Nehizena Idemudia Afolabi, pronounced the ruling on Wednesday in Lafia.

Afolabi directed the country's electoral umpire, INEC to publish his name as the candidate of the governing party in the 2023 general elections.

INEC had earlier published the name of the incumbent member representing the Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Mohammed Omadefu as a candidate.

This is despite scoring zero votes against Atose who polled 46 votes at the party’s primary election conducted on May 28, 2022.
