The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Nasarawa Eggon Division, Haruna Abdulkarim, has been kidnapped by unknown men.
Abulkarim was kidnapped on Thursday along the Bakyano-Arikya road while returning from supervision of officers on duty deployed to provide security of lives and property in the axis.
The Overseer of Akun Development Area, Hon. Moses Anvah confirmed the incidence.
According to the Overseer, the matter has since been reported to the police authorities in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Efforts to reach the Police PRO, DSP Ramhan Nansel, proved abortive at press time as he failed to respond to calls.
