Nasarawa Speaker Weeps Over Terrorist Invasion

Ibrahim Abdullahi

The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, has disclosed that he wept during the invasion of Darul-Salam terrorists in part of his constituents.

Abdullahi, who is representing Ugya/Umaisha constituency in the state, said this during a sympathy visit to some communities affected by flood.

He said activities of the Darul-salam terrorists had almost forced people to stop plying the Toto-Ugya-Umaisha road, adding that the people heaved a sigh of relief after the intervention of the state government.

“In fact, it got a stage that people travelling along Toto-Ugya-Umaisha road could no longer ply the road because of attack of Darul-Salam terrorists but to God be glory that today, a big sigh of relief has come the way of my people,” he said.

“In fact, the day I heard that Darul-Salam terrorists invaded my constituency, I came down from my bed and started weeping.

"I later went and performed ablution and observed two Raka’at nafila prayers.”

He called on people of his constituency to support the APC-led administration under the leadership of Abdullahi Sule, towards improving security of lives and property in the area.

He also urged the youth to continue to remain peaceful and law abiding to constituted authorities especially at the peak of electioneering campaigns activities.
