Nasarawa Youth Calls Out Governor Over Sufferings Of Indigen

Nasarawa-governor-Abdullahi Sule

An Indigene of Nasarawa State, Musa Mamman Adamu has called out the Governor, Abdullahi Sule on the high level of corruption playing out in his administration.

Adamu expressed grieve over the issue of segregation experienced, especially as regards job recruitment.

The Nasarawa State Indegene has called on the Governor to see to the Education sector as questionable activities evolve around recruitment and admission of student into the tertiary institutions.

The message reads in part:

"Sir, I am writing you this open letter with pains and tears seeing the state of the poor masses of Nasarawa State under your watch. Sir, I could remember vividly on the 29th May, 2019 where you were holding the glorious Quran in your hands to take an oath: 'I promise to be just and fair to the the people of Nasarawa state, I promise to be the leader of both the poor and the rich, I promise to discharge my duties diligently with no segregation nor been sentimental in anyways, I promise to defend Nasarawa State interest to the best of my abilities, I promise to carry everyone along for the benefit of Nasarawa State'. This, regrettably you have failed to live up to.

"Sir, I see corruption rigmaroling with you in the same table, I see sentiment and segregation dinning with you in this administration. Sir, where is the hope for poor people of Nasarawa State?

"Sir, under your watch employment are only given to the children of the rich and those in power. History will never forget how in your administration employment slots were shared based on connections.

"First and foremost Sir, in Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), only those in power and few others in the elite class benefited from its recent recruitment where persons with 3rd class were also engaged as lecturers.

"Similarly, the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) had also recently recruited personnel based on the same criteria and now, Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, which is now giving appointment secretly. I'm pretty sure this can't happen without reaching your desk.

"Quite unfortunately Sir, under your watch, unnecessary taxes have been imposed on the poorest and there has been nothing worth commendable to commensurate the hiked taxes.

"Sir, Nasarawa State under your watch is in the state of shambles most especially the Education sectors where in addition to the deplorable facilities, it has become a safe haven for exhortations. This is seriously bringing down the poor of the poorest in the state who have interest in education. Just take a look at the dues imposed on the students whose parents are trying hard to even eat once in a day due to the pandemic (facemask due, hand sanitizer due and more).

"Mr. Governor Sir, I'm sure this must have reached your ears and if this has not reached your ears then the trust has been betrayed by your representative or government officials.

"Sir, as a matter of fact, this administration need to adjust and stick to it earlier oath take in order to deliver the much needed dividends of democracy in fulfilment of your campaign promises.

"I hope and pray that this letter reach you, Sir,"
