The Speaker who frowned at the Local Government boss said the actions of the Local Government Council boss was a disservice to humanity.
The LGC boss and the deputy chairman of Karu LG are being sanctioned for abandoning their official duties to attend the court case of the former Secretary to the Government of the state (SSG), Aliyu Tijani Ahmed
“The Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Council is hereby suspended pending the investigation on his act of insubordination.

Expressing dismay on how the Council chairman abandoned his people a few hours to the by-election in the state, the speaker explained that the Chairman is paying more allegiance to the former SSG than this institution and the government which is uncalled for.
The motion for the suspension of the chairman was moved by Hon Mohammed Alkali and seconded by Hon Daniel Ogazi.
The Speaker also set up a seven-man committee to investigate the two affected local government officials.
