National Football Association’s President Resigns Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Gudni Bergsson, president of the Icelandic football federation (KSI), has resigned over allegations that members of the country’s national team have been involved in sexual and violent offences.

The KSI said on Twitter on Sunday that Bergsson would step down and that further details would follow.

Sports news

Icelandic broadcaster RUV had criticised the KSI for its lack of action over the allegations against former and current members of the national squad.

The sports administrator in his playing days played for Bolton Wanderers in the English Premier League (EPL).
