NCPWD Partners Media House To Promote Inclusion, Advocacy

The National Commission for Persons With Disability to promote inclusion and advocacy of the course of persons with disability is set to partner Aso Radio/TV and Sight Savers.

The Managing Director of Aso Radio/TV, Alhaji Ibrahim Damisa Lawan has called for partnership among the trio.

Alhaji Lawan made this call in Abuja during a courtesy visit to his office by the Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, James David Lalu and the Country Director of Sight Savers, Sunday Isiyaku.

This is shortly after a television program at the broadcasting station to mark the 2022 International Day of Persons With Disabilities, themed: Disability Inclusion and Development: Mapping out Interest and Diversity, the Need for National Disability Agenda.

The MD, after giving brief history of Aso Radio/Television to the duo, appreciated the wonderful work of the Commission and Sight Savers towards bringing peaceful coexistence and inclusivity of Persons With Disabilities.

He assured them of his readiness to partner with them in order to create more enabling avenue for the voices of Persons With Disabilities to be heard.

In his response, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, James David Lalu said that the Commission will continue to advocate for inclusion of Persons With Disabilities and enlighten the general public against discrimination of Persons With Disabilities through every possible means.
