Wilfred Ndidi
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi's goal in Leicester City's 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup is in contention for the club's goal of the month.
Ndidi who signed a contract extension at the club until the summer of 2027 scored in the 71st of the game when he linked up with new signing, Jordan Ayew, and Harry Winks, to slot home after beating his marker.
The club's new number 6 will have striker Jamie Vardy and Ayew to contend with as their goals also made the cut.
Veteran striker Vardy's header in the Foxes' Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur was significant as it secured an important draw for the team while former Crystal Palace forward Ayew grabbed his debut goal for the side in the win over Tranmere.
Harry Winks was on target against Tranmere and is in the running, as is Chris Popov's strike in the club's Premier League 2 win over Southampton.
Ndidi has played every single minute of the club's games so far but is on international duty as Nigeria gets set for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
