A 40-year-old drug peddler, Damion Onuoha was on Tuesday nabbed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 1.6kg of white and brown Methamphetamine in Rivers.

Emmanuel Ogbungbada, Assistant State Commander, Media and Advocacy, released a statement on behalf of Ahmed Mamuda, the NDLEA commander in Rivers, in which he disclosed the information.

He said that Onuoha was apprehended during a raid in Elele Alimini town in the state's Emuoha LGA along with the drugs, and N650,700 was taken from him as evidence.

The drug dealer is being quizzed at the agency's detention facility, according to Mamuda.

He continued by saying that in October, the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt handed down convictions to 21 drug dealers thanks to the NDLEA.

According to him, the NDLEA also detained 21 suspects in October—19 men and two women—and recovered 424.72kg of drugs, including cocaine, heroin, Indian hemp, Tramadol, and methamphetamine.
