Following a preliminary investigation, the NDLEA said the suspects were delivering the items to the North West where the Nigerian Army has taken the war to bandits' hideouts.

Recall that network had been shut down in some states of Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kaduna in the North West as a measure to intensify military attack on bandits.

The walkie talkie recovered were meant to help bandits communicate following the shutting down of telecommunication network, the investigation revealed.
