NECO: Common Entrance Examination Postponed Over Low Registration

The 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) organised by the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been rescheduled due to the low number of registered candidates. 

According to a statement by NECO’s Head Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani, on Wednesday, the examination which should have commenced on Saturday, April 29, 2023, will now hold on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The statement explained that the rescheduled examination would allow states with low registration to register their candidates for the examination.

Sani further urged all candidates, parents, guardians, schools and appropriate stakeholders to take note of the new date, adding that registration of candidates will be allowed until the new date of the examination which admits candidates into the Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria.

The statement titled 'NECO RESCHEDULES 2023 NATIONAL COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCEE)' and dates April 25, 2023, reads: "The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rescheduled the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) which is conducted for admission into Federal Unity Colleges from Saturday 29th April, 2023 to Saturday 3rd June 2023.

"The Examination was rescheduled to give States with low registration of candidates the opportunity to register their candidates for the examination.

"All candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new date for the examination.

"The registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the examination."
