NECO digitalizes recruitment process for exam supervisors

NECO digitalizes recruitment process for exam supervisors

The National Examination Council, NECO, has implemented robust measures to curb fraudulent practices in the selection of Examination Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for the BECE and SSCE Internal and External examinations.

The Council which has now digitalized the process of its recruitment noted that the digitalization is to check sharp practices in the recruitment process and to enhance efficiency and effective service delivery.

A statement signed by the Director, Information and Digital Communication, Azeez Sani said the digitalization has come to stay as it has completely taken over from the manual.

“The process which involves migration from the manual recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to an online system would ensure that supervisors' Nomination Forms, Appointment Letters and Supervisors' e-photo Albums are generated online.

“Also, the routine swapping of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors during the Examination would be done Online,” the statement added.

The Council called on interested qualified Teachers with NCE, Degree Certificate, Master's Degrees, PhD and Professors whom it said are eligible to apply as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for BECE or SSCE Internal or External.

Before the digitalization system, the recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors was done manually by the Council which was characterized by fraud.
