Netflix Acquires Kanye West Documentary

A documentary on the life and career of rapper Kanye West with over two decades of footage has been acquired by Netflix.

The report comes from Billboard and different sources peg the amount of acquisition at $30 million, an amount that has been refuted by someone familiar with the matter who spoke to Variety.

The series reportedly has unseen footage of Kanye West and will cover his music and fashion business, the death of his mother, and his failed presidential bid.

The docuseries is still untitled as of the time of this writing and comes from the duo of music producers Clarence 'Coodie' Simmons and Chike Ozah. They produced and directed Kanye's 2004 music video for Jesus Walks.
