The movie was directed by Kayode Kasum and had its theatrical release on October 1, 2020. It is the fourth movie in the Alakada franchise and the direct sequel to the 2017 comedy Alakada Reloaded.
Per a news report from Filmone, Fate of Alakada will premiere on Netflix on March 5, 2021, joining two other new films Nigerian American and Just in Time, also coming to the streaming platform next month.

Starring Toyin Abraham, Broda Shaggi, Mercy Eke, MC Lively, and Stephanie Coker, Fate of Alakada sees Yetunde (Abraham) who is now a social media influencer still living a fake life while giving people the impression of having arrived.
The movie was met with positive reviews and became a box office success, eventually taking a place among the highest-earning Nollywood movies of 2020.
