The newly appointed chairman of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba, has assumed office.
Jumba assured to justify the confidence reposed in him by the state governor, Bala Mohammed.
He made the assurance while chairing his first meeting as the head of the board.
He called for the cooperation and commitment of his members, saying all hands must be on deck to deliver to the pilgrims.
This was contained in a statement by Muhammad Sani Yunusa, Information Officer of the board.
He further commended the determination of the Board towards ensuring the comfort of the Pilgrims.
He also promised to operate an open-door policy to build on the existing successes recorded.
Earlier speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, congratulated the new Chairman of the Board on his appointment.
He further prayed to Allah to support and guide him to deliver on the mandate reposed on him.
