BBNaija's Whitemoney has shared his experience in attempting to obtain the new naira notes.
The reality show star claimed in an Instagram video that the new notes are not available in banks but he was surprised to see large sums of them with money changers at an event he attended.
Whitemoney also alleged that N700,000 in the new currency is now selling for N1 million.
"Nigeria is the best country ever I promise you. We just have corrupt people handling the sector that serves humanity.
"Every sector is corrupt or else how do you explain this to me; there is no money in the bank both new note and old note inside the bank and then I got to a party yesterday. I saw bundles of cash 200, 500, 1,000.
"Who dey sell money give these people, who dey sell am and that's not the worse part.
"This money is expensive as hell; 700k was selling for 1 million naira with 300 thousand naira gain."
