New police commissioner vows enhanced security in Kano

Salman Dogo Garba assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police in Kano State on Monday, pledging to prioritize the security of lives and property across the state.

In his inaugural address, Commissioner Dogo Garba emphasized the need for cooperation from both the police force and the public to achieve this goal.

The transition ceremony also marked a farewell to Mohammad Hussein Gumel, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General, AIG.

AIG Gumel expressed gratitude to the officers and men of the command for their support during his tenure, urging them to extend the same cooperation to Commissioner Dogo Garba.

During the event, awards were presented to police officers, as well as philanthropists, in recognition of their efforts in promoting peace within the state.
