Newcastle United join race for Olise

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has hinted that Newcastle United is the latest Premier League side interested in 22-year-old Nigerian-eligible striker Michael Olise and could make a bid for the £60m-rated  Crystal Palace forward this summer.

Romano named Manchester United and Chelsea as the clubs pushing hardest to sign Olise but seemingly has added the Toons to the long list of suitors for the dashing winger of Nigerian descent.

Romano in his column for Caughtoffside did highlight the fact that the club will be well aware of the Profit and Sustainability Rules by the Premier League.

Olise was not picked by France for the upcoming Euro 2024 Championship and as a homegrown talent, is reportedly garnering interest from the English FA who are weighing the possibility of capping him for the English national team at the expense of Nigeria and Algeria where his mother hails from.
