Neymar Out Of PSG Vs Leipzig Champions League Clash

Neymar Jnr Ruled Out Of Leipzig clash

Brazilian attacker Neymar is ruled out of the Paris Saint-Germain's squad to host RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League after he picked an injury during his international duty.

Mauricio Pochettino had to play without both Lionel Messi and Neymar during Friday's Ligue 1 match against Angers as they were both representing their respective South American countries.

Messi would be on the squad list for the Leipzig clash with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar could be replaced with Angel Di Maria in the squad.

PSG confirmed his continued absence in an official statement on their website: "Neymar Jr has been suffering from adductor pain since his return from the national team and will have to extend a period of treatment for a few days before a normal return to the group."

The Ligue 1 leaders have also revealed Argentina international Leandro Paredes will be missing due to a quadriceps issue, while Sergio Ramos is close to returning to training after sitting out the start of the season with a calf problem.

Apart from his trickery and ability to bust defence open with pace and dribbles, Neymar would not be heavily missed snce he has scored just once in seven appearances across all competitions for PSG this season.

With concerns over his fitness, last week he hinted the 2022 World Cup could be his last World Cup with Brazil as he struggles to deal with the mental strain of football at the highest level.
