NFF officially make Peseiro's Super Eagles, Ugbade's U-17

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has had his contract negotiations with the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation concluded and the NFF has made his role open for potential new coaching crew.

Peseiro led Nigeria to the final of the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire where his team lost 2-1 to the hosts.

Peseiro was reportedly recommended to the Glass House by former Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and AS Roma tactician, Jose Maurinho.

Peseiro put up a social media post in the aftermath of his contract runnob its full cause with the conclusion of the Afcon announcing that he had left his Nigerian post amid links to the Algerian national team coaching job.

The Super Eagles are set to face El Savador in an international friendly at the back end of March 2024 with the NFF now actively shopping for Peseiro's replacement.

The Nigeria Football Federation, Allnews.ng gathered, has also opted to have the Golden Eaglets coaching role available after former coach Nduka Ugbade failed to lead the cadet side to the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Interestingly, Ugbade was the captain of the them then Golden Eaglets that won the maiden edroon of the FIFA U-16 World championship in Germany in 1985.
