NICN Registrar Contributes Law Books To AAUA

The Chief Registrar of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Olurotimi Willaims-Daudu, has contributed some books to the Faculty of Law, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.

Giving the reason for his donation, Williams-Dauda said the feats the faculty has made over the years inspired him to donate the books as a form of encouragement to its dean, Olugbenga Oke.

"I know the value of giving back to society. I went through the trajectory of life that had taught me to always remember the needy and always give a helping hand to that person who is in need.

“I had a discussion with the faculty to give me their needs.

"You know sometimes, you give things that people don’t need.

“The University gave me a list of books that they needed and thankfully, we were able to get at least 90 percent of those books they needed,” the registrar explained.

The official promised to do more, noting that the donation was only the beginning.

He however urged the students to maintain focus as they study and make good use of the donated books.

Responding to the act, the dean of the faculty commended the contribution, stating that the gesture met a need in the faculty.

“They are books that we need at this time that we are working towards accreditation and again, they are current books that will really enrich our library and aid our students in their studies.

“So, this is a great contribution to us and we are very happy that somebody on his own just decided to donate these books to the faculty,” Oke said.

Oke also summoned the good people of the country to follow the registrar's path and show their support to the faculty.
