Niger State Government Says Manpower Major Setback In Tackl

The Niger State government has disclosed that the size of the state and shortage of manpower has been the major problem hindering efforts towards ending terrorism perpetrated in the state.

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Ibrahim Balarabe noted that the state government is doing all it can to end security challenges bedevilling parts of the state.

Balarabe made this known at an event during the weekend organised by youth groups in Minna, through the office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Political Mobilizstion, Faruk Musa Muhammad.

Balarabe added that the state government had countless times visited the President and the service chiefs toward ending the security challenges.

He decried the situation where the same people giving information to security agencies serve as informant to terrorists.

The CoS maintained that as the government, they were doing their best to meet up with their responsibilities, adding that posterity would place them where they belong when they might have left office.

He commended the organisers of the event for honouring him and urged them to utilise any opportunity given to them to serve, pointing out that patience is needed to build up oneself.
