Nigeria At 61: A Time To Keep Hope Alive — Olanrewaju Mich

In celebration of Nigeria at 61, a seasoned entrepreneur and politician Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG) has sent a message of hope to citizens.

Olanrewaju Michael George via a press statement made available to AllNews Nigeria encouraged that despite challenges faced by the nation, these challenges should be the magnet that draws us closer.

OMG said, "As a nation, we have been faced with a lot of challenges. These challenges, rather than turn us against one another, should be the magnet that draws us closer.

"Rather than apportioning blame or pointing fingers, this is the time for sober reflection as a nation. It is a time to revisit those policies that have, rather than make the lives of the average Nigerian easier, added to their miseries. It is time to put measures in place to help the youths, who remain the hope of the nation, maximise their potentials".

On nation-building, ethnic and religious crisis, he said, "Building a nation of our dreams remains a collective effort. As individuals, it's high time we shunned ethnic and religious violence that seeks to tear us apart. As a government, we should focus on human capacity development, infrastructure, economic growth, security of lives and property as well as policies that will long speak after we are out of office.

Now is the time to dig inward and put Nigeria and Nigerians first. That for me remains the essence of today and should be the guiding principle that will propel the nation to attaining its true potentials, he concluded.
