The Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to secure maximum points away in Butare, Rwanda when they faced Zimbabwe in the World Cup Qualifiers on Sunday.
It was a frenetic contest in the Match Day two encounter when Nigeria squared up with Zimbabwe.
The home side took the lead from a decent free-kick which Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho had no answer to.
And the Super Eagles were 1-0 down in the contest no thanks to Walter Musona in the 29th minute of the first half.
In the second half, Manager Jose Peseiro made key changes bringing on Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface and Bright Osayi-Samuel with Nathan Tella, Ola Aina and Frank Onyeka making way in the process.
However, it paid off as Kelechi Iheanacho's strike at the edge of the box got the Nigerian side on level terms in the 65th minute.
Zimbabwe could have had the winner after Uzoho failed to handle the ball properly in the closing stages.
But the ball ended up in the side netting much to the relief of Uzoho and under-fire Manager Jose Peseiro.
It finished 1-1 apiece between Zimbabwe and Nigeria in the World Cup Qualifier on Sunday.
