Avaldsnes IL of Norway and Super Falcons of Nigeria forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, has been named in the Team of the Season for the year 2020 in the Scandinavia region.
AllNews reports that Avaldsnes finished third in the just-concluded season to claim bronze. The club accrued 34 points, with two places better than their position last season - although they missed out on the title and Champions League spot.
Ajibade enjoyed a memorable season at Avaldsnes.
The 21-year-old joined Avaldsnes on a two-year deal from Nigerian side Robo Queens in December 2018 and helped the Oslo-based club to a fifth-place finish in the 2019 season, scoring five goals.
An excited Ajibade took to her known Twitter handle on Thursday to share the news.
Proud to be named in the Team of the Season for 2020. Thanks to my teammates & coaches who helped me throughout the year.
