The Crowwe app, which was peddled as a replacement for the microblogging social media platform Twitter, was massively frowned at by Nigerians.

2. Army Dismisses Report Of Six Soldiers Killed, Revenge Mission In Abia

The Nigerian Army has dismissed reports that troops were on a revenge mission in some communities in Abia following the alleged killing of six soldiers in a clash with ESN/IPOB militants.

The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima, in a statement on Monday, said contrary to reports, no soldier was killed in the Ohafia Local Government Area of the state.

3. UTME 2021: JAMB Sets Date For Print Of Notification Slip

Amidst the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) 2021, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Monday,  announced that examination notification slips for the exam is ready for candidates to print.

JAMB, in its routine bulletin, urged all candidates, who had registered for the examination scheduled to take between Saturday, June 19, 2021, and July 3, 2021, to begin printing the UTME 2021 notification slip from Monday, 14th June 2021.

4. Optimism Rises As Bitcoin Breaks Above $40,000

Bitcoin surpassed $40,000 on Monday after a volatile trading weekend, reaching its highest level in more than two weeks.

Bitcoin, which jumped nearly 10 percent on Sunday, breaking above its 20-day moving average, is up over 12 percent in the last 24 hours as of report time at $40,692. It had already briefly broken above $41,000 this afternoon.

5. Report: Nigeria Rated World’s Third Most Generous Country

An annual survey of global generosity has laid bare the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic on charitable giving as five major western economies fell out of the top 10 most generous countries for the first time.

The Charities Aid Foundation’s World Giving Index is a global survey which has interviewed more than 1.6 million people since 2009 and asks each of them three questions: have they helped a stranger, given money or volunteered for a good cause over the past month?
