Nigeria Records 90 New COVID-19 Cases, Five Deaths

Nigeria recorded five deaths within 24 hours, September 16, 2020, taking the number of COVID-19 deaths within the country to 1088. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) also reported that Nigeria recorded 90 new confirmed cases of coronavirus during the same period.

The 90 new cases were recorded in 24hours from 8 states- Lagos (33), Plateau (27), Kaduna (17), Ogun (6), FCT (4), Anambra (1), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1)

This takes the number of confirmed cases to 56,478 after a total of 443,987 tests were conducted. Also, 44,430 persons have been discharged from Nigeria's isolation centers since the coronavirus outbreak was first recorded in late February 2020.
