Nigeria To Receive Promised 200 Ventilators From Trump On Tu

The 200 ventilators US President Donald Trump promised Nigeria are set to arrive on Tuesday.

This development was confirmed by the Health Ministry, stating that the ventilator will be received at a ceremony in Abuja.

On 28 April 2020, Nigeria was promised the donation of 200 ventilators by Donald Trump as part of the support of the US in the fight against coronavirus in countries experiencing a paucity of ventilators.

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, had explained that Trump had promised President Muhammadu Buhari the ventilators over the phone.

Mohammed said, “During the meeting, President Buhari used the opportunity to brief the American president on the steps that Nigeria is taking to contain the spread of the disease.

“On his part, President Trump assured that the United States stands in solidarity with Nigeria in this difficult time.”
