Nigeria vs Ghana: Possible Sanction Or Fine From FIFA, CAF Over Fans Stadium Invasion

Nigeria vs Ghana: Possible Sanction Or Fine From FIFA, CAF O

The Nigeria football federation might face a fine or sanction from the World football body (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after fans invaded the Moshood Abiola National stadium in Abuja.

The game between Nigeria and Ghana ended 1-1 which led to the qualification of Ghana for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Angry fans stormed the stadium to attack the Ghanaian players and fans, destroying properties and equipment in protest.

The substitute benches were smashed by the fans, who called for the removal of Amaju Pinnick, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The Police were forced to fire several rounds of tear gas to disperse the angry crowd.

FIFA and CAF frown at violence and crowd trouble in stadiums and might fine Nigeria or impose a stadium ban.
