Nigeria Zoo: What Acknowledgement By Aisha Yesufu, Rinu Mean

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says the acknowledgment by fellow activists, Aisha Yesufu and Rinu Oduala, that Nigeria is a zoo "is an inspiration to those that labour in seeking sensible and lasting solutions to Nigeria".

Kanu stated this on his known Facebook page on Monday

"Thank you, @AishaYesufu. Thank you, @SavvyRinu," Kanu wrote.

"Your epic acknowledgement that Nigeria is a ZOO is an inspiration to those that labour in seeking sensible and lasting solutions to Nigeria. #Biafra. #ESN."

Recall AllNews had reported earlier on Monday that Yesufu posited that "calling Nigeria a zoo is actually a compliment", adding that "it is worse".

According to the co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, an advocacy group that brings attention to the abduction of over 200 girls, from a secondary school in Chibok in 2014, the country "is in a category of itself where killings happen indiscriminately with no purpose".

Yesufu was replying to a question by Oduala, one of the most prominent voices that peacefully protested for an end to police brutality in Nigeria in 2020.

Oduala had asked via her verified Twitter handle on Monday: "Let’s be very honest. Is Nigeria not a zoo?"

Diaspora-based Nnamdi Kanu often call Nigeria a "zoo".

According to Kanu, because Nigeria is a failed country where there are so many oddities happening at the same time, the West African country is a zoo.

Kanu and majority of the Igbos in the Southeast and South-South regions of Nigeria want a breakaway state of Biafra, but the Nigerian government continues to oppose their campaign, saying unity is needed.

A significant number of Easterners desire a referendum and they have time and again held peaceful protests in that regard.
