The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has lost his polling unit to the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Yahaya who is a governor seeking reelection under the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the polling unit 010 in the Jekadafari Area of Gombe metropolis to PDP.
The governor is the Northeast coordinator of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The result was announced by the Presiding Officer (PO), Mishel Thomas.
According to the PO, Atiku scored 215 votes while Tinubu scored 186 votes.
Meanwhile, in Borno State, the Vice Presidential candidate of the APC, Kashim Shettima has delivered his polling unit to Tinubu.
The result indicated that the APC scored 126 votes while PDP polled 23 and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) scored zero.
