Nigerian Air Force Rescues 26 In Kaduna

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Special Forces have rescued 26 victims of kidnapping in Kaduna state.

The victims were rescued along Birnin Gwari - Kaduna road on Wednesday.

This was contained in a statement signed by the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.

Gabkwet stated that the special forces were prompted to rescue the victims after they found five vehicles indicating the occupants were forcefully ejected.

The troops conducted about three kilometers search in the bush before rescuing the victims.

The victims stated that they were surrounded by bandits who were separated into three groups.

The bandits ran off with some other people after sighting the troops while other victims hid in the bush.

The statement further reads that the victims were taken to 461 NAF Hospital Kaduna to undergo medical checks.

The rescue operation has continued to trail the bandits in order to rescue others.
