 Nigerian Army Recruitment: Regular Recruit Intake Is Ongoin

AllNews reports that the Nigerian Army has commenced the basic recruit military training for trades and non-tradesmen - a short period training for people with and without trade skills to enlist in.

The training lasts for a period of 6 months and is applicable to candidates who possess a minimum of secondary school leaving certificate.

How To Apply for the Ongoing Regular Recruit Intake Applications

1. Applicants must be a Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identity Card.
2. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
3. Applicants must be free of any criminal conviction by the court of law.
4. All applicants must possess a minimum of 4 passes in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB at O Level including English Language
5. In addition to the above qualifications, those applying as tradesmen /women must also possess a Test/City Guild Certificate.
6. Knowledge of additional Nigerian language other than mother tongue is an added advantage

Age Requirements

* Minimum Age (Non - trades): 18

* Maximum Age (Non - nrades): 22

* Minimum Age (Trades): 28

* Maximum Age (Trades): 35

Height Requirements

* Minimum Height (Male): 1.68

* Minimum Height (Female): 1.62

Educational Qualification

* Minimum of 4 passes in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB

AllNews reports that applications into the Regular Recruit Intake will end by November 14, 2020.

Beware of Fraudsters, Nigerian Army Warns 

1. Candidates are to note that there will be no Pre-Selection Computer Based Test.

2. No special centre for recruitment.

3. There will be no zonal screening exercise.

4. All screening of potential recruits will be conducted at the candidate’s respective state of origin.

5. Candidates are also expected to adhere to COVID-19 protocols which includes: regular washing of hands, use of face masks, and the observing physical distancing.

6. Any candidate who falsifies or forges his/her results and is discovered even during training at Depot NA would be withdrawn and prosecuted by the law.

7. Candidates are advised to come with their BVN printout.

8. Candidates are advised, in their own interest, not to give any form of gratification of inducement to any person or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise.

10. Names of shortlisted candidates for screening will be released publicly.

11. Shortlisted candidates are to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise on 23 November - 6 December 2020.

12. Successful candidates will be transported to Depot NA for documentation and trainman from 7 December 2020.
