Nigerian Breweries Announces Final Dividend For 2019 Full Ye

 

The Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced its final dividend for the period ended 31, 2020. The alcoholic company offered N1.51 per ordinary share of 50 kobo each as a final dividend to its shareholders. It is, however, subject to the deduction of the appropriate withholding tax and approval at the Annual General Meeting of the Company.

According to Nigerian Breweries, shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on March 4, 2020, will receive the final dividend payment. It was learnt that payment will be made on June 24, 2020, via electronic to shareholders "who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their  dividends directly into their Bank accounts."

In a statement released by the company and published on Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), it was also disclosed that "Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend mandate Activation Form,  which  is  available  at https://firstregistrarsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/E-Dividend-New-1.pdf, complete same and submit to the Registrar of their respective Banks." The registrar is the First Registrars and Investor Services Limited.

Unclaimed dividend

Meanwhile, shareholders who are yet to claim their dividend were advised to also complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar. "Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained unclaimed,  or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar," the company said. 

The annual general meeting will be held at Star Academy, Nigerian Breweries' Accommodation Centre, Plot 14, Abebe Village Road, Iganmu, Lagos State, Nigeria on June 23, 2020, the statement signed by the Company Secretary, Uaboi Agbebaku, disclosed.
