Nigerian Military Troops Repel Attack On Buni Yadi In Yobe

The Special Forces and Air Task Force of the Nigerian military on Sunday repelled an onslaught at the School of Special Forces in Yobe.

According to reports, seven insurgents were eliminated in a separate attack on civilians at Buni Yadi, 53 kilometres from Damaturu, the state capital.

The Boko Haram members were said to have stormed the town at about 5 pm, targeting the school and community, using cows as cover to avoid detection,.

A source informed PR Nigeria that the troops who were alerted sighted and opened fire on them.

“In the process, seven of them were gunned down, while two vehicles were destroyed," he disclosed.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement on the attack.
