A prison warder simply identified as Adamu has reportedly shot a shop owner over an unknown disagreement.
An eyewitness disclosed that the shop owner was selling sweets and cigarettes on the morning of Monday when the warder approached him.
Some speculated that they argued because of the cigaratte, but this is not confirmed.
It was said the trigger-happy warder shot the man who died in cold blood.
"Immiediately he shot him, we rushed to the place and heard the warder's companion saying Adamu you just shot the man, what if he died", said the eyewitness.
He added that they quickly left in panic but the crowd that has gathered seemed to want to stop them from moving away.
When contacted, ASP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa stated that he would investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged shooting and revert back to the press.
