Nigerian Muslim Cleric In Benin Republic To Show Support For

As Sunday Igboho's hearing continues in the Benin Republic on Monday, July 26, 2021, his cleric, Imam Idris Abiola Oladejo is present in court to show support for the 'Yoruba Nation Activist'.

Recall that the Court D’Apeal in Cotonou, Benin Republic had adjourned the trial of Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho to Today, and has released his wife.

Imam Oladejo while speaking to the press made it known that Igboho committed no offence to warrant his detention. According to the Cleric, there is nothing against Igboho.

"President Muhammad Buhari sent a signal to all airports around the globe that if Sunday Igboho is sighted, he should be arrested.

"That is the major problem, Sunday Igboho is not a criminal.

"Everybody knows that he is a freedom fighter. He is a nice and responsible man," he said.

The Cleric expressed confidence that Sunday Igboho would be released to travel to Germany tomorrow and stated that he has been in the Benin Republic since last Monday due to the love he has for the Activist.

It was gathered that Sunday Igboho’s case was adjourned till July 26 to allow the Nigerian Government to bring up whatever evidence they may have against him.
