The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should not just give orders to security agents to shoot non-security personnel armed with AK-47 rifles, but he must first condemn the activities of the herdsmen.

2. NSE Index: Market Performance Dips By -0.40%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 5,486.00 deals on Thursday, March 4th, 2021, higher than the 4,714.00  deals on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021. The volume reached 493,172,597.00 units at the close of the market on Thursday higher than the 244,342,845.00 units it closed with on Wednesday.

The value of trades recorded on Thursday was N4,722,499,530.20 with the All-Share Index of 39,364.67 an increase of -0.40% (-157.39) over Wednesday's value of 39,522.06. Read more here.

The snippet of ‘Moving Fast: Rush’ which Bella Shmurda posted on his social media today became a controversial topic on Twitter.

4. Group Asks Court To Order AGF, EFCC To Probe SPDC Suit

The Global Network for Youth Empowerment and Equal Justice, has asked the Federal High Court to order the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), the EFCC to investigate Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).

The network, which is a Civil Society Group, approached the court on Thursday seeking an order of mandamus to compel the AGF and EFCC to investigate the alleged theft of 16 million barrels of crude oil by Shell. Read more here.

5. Governors, Deputies Will Receive COVID-19 Vaccine on Wednesday

Governors and their deputies will receive the shots of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Leicester City will have to make do without playmaker, James Maddison as he is out with a niggling hip injury which already saw him miss their last 3 matches, Brendan Rodgers confirmed.

9. Zamfara: Police Deploy More Officers As Tension Rises In Jangebe

Zamfara State Police Command has deployed additional reinforcement to Jangebe as tension keeps building up in the town following the clash that broke out between the security agents and the community members after the release of the abducted students of Government Girls Secondary School last week.
