1. Nigeria, Switzerland Inaugurate ‘Blue Bus’ Project To Control Irregular Migration

The Federal Government of Nigeria and the Switzerland Government have inaugurated a Blue Bus Project in commemoration of the countries 10th anniversary in migration partnership to control irregular migration in the country.

2. UTME 2021: JAMB Form Finally Out?

About a week ago, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it has concluded all arrangements to roll out the sale of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) application documents.

JAMB in its weekly bulletin sent to AllNews at the time stated that the dates for the sale of the documents, the conduct of mock examination, and the UTME will be announced “latest on Wednesday, 24th March 2021”. Read more here.

3. Akeredolu Castigated For Rejecting Yoruba Nation

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has been called out by Professor Banji Akintoye's led Ilana Omo Oodua for rejecting the agitation for the creation of a Yoruba nation.

Akeredolu had during the swearing-in of Princess Oladunni Odu as the new Secretary to the State Government and other Special Advisers in Akure, the state capital, on Monday, said, “No part of the entire state, known and delineated as Ondo State, shall permit any Yoruba nation gathering or agitation“. 4. Stock Market Today: Cap, Wapic Insurance Top Gainers With 10% Increase

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 3,937.00 deals on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, lower than the 4,299.00 deals on Monday, March 22nd, 2021. The volume reached 410,386,365 units at the close of the market on Tuesday higher than the 277,235,456.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N5,984,629,207.98 with the All-Share Index of 38,704.97 a decrease of -0.05% or -17.9 over Monday's value of 38,722.87. Read more here.

5. Igbo Presidency 2023: Again, Nnamdi Kanu’s Counsel Speaks Against Idea

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu and the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has once more posited that Southern Presidency will not be a great idea for people of his region.

AstraZeneca has said that it would publish more data on its American clinical trial "within 48 hours" after the monitoring board monitoring the study warned US authorities that results released by the company on Monday were misleading.

The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) was notified by the independent monitoring board that it was "concerned by information released by AstraZeneca on initial data from its COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial". Read more here.
