The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has said that he is of the opinion that rich people in Nigeria don't "pay taxes".

A projection by the World Bank puts the total number of poor Nigerians by 2022 at 100 million.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday congratulated the President of Ghana Akufo-Addo for emerging victorious in his re-election bid.

Buhari who took to his Twitter page to congratulate Akufo-Addo also commended the people of Ghana for ensuring that Ghana's Presidential and parliamentary elections were peaceful. Read more here.

6. Boko Haram: Nigeria Security Better Than It Was Before - Minister of Defence

The Minister of DefenseBashir Magashi has on Thursday claimed that the Nigerian Army is currently better than it was years ago.

Magashi who was reacting to the increasing attack by Boko Haram insurgents and bandits held that the Nigerian Army currently is one of the best on the continent and could defeat any enemy if provided with the right equipment. Read more here.

7. 'He Has No Regard For Other Arms Of Govt'- Fayose Slams Buhari For Shunning Lawmakers' Summon

Former Governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has no regards for other arms of government.

Fayose who said this in reaction to the President's refusal to appear before the lawmakers to answer questions on the rising insecurity on Thursday described Buhari as a 'dictator'. Read more here.

8. Buhari Gives New Order On N-Power Beneficiaries, MarketMoni, TraderMoni, FarmerMoni

The number of N-Power beneficiaries has been increased by President Muhammadu Buhari. The increase was also implemented in MarketMoni, TraderMoni, FarmerMoni, all which are part of Government Enterprise And Empowerment Programme (GEEP).

According to President Buhari, the number of N-Power beneficiaries will now be increased to one million. Previously, the number of N-Power beneficiaries were 500,000 for the first and second Batch - both of which ended in July 2020. Read more here.

9. APC Postpones Nationwide Membership Registration Till Next Year

The Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the nationwide membership registration update and revalidation exercise schedule to commence on Saturday, December 12. 

According to the Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, John Akpanudoedehe who disclosed this, membership registration has been postponed to the second week of January 2021 taking into consideration the Christmas season and to ensure maximum participation by all parties. Read more here.

10. Ogun State Gov. Sets May 2021 For Completion Of Ijebu-Ode-Epe Expressway

Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said that the 14.7km Ijebu-Ode-Epe Expressway will be completed by May 2021 instead of the initial plan of completing it in February.

The Governor said the shift of completion was due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic that shook the world since early February. Read more here.
