1. ASUU Strike: Strike Is Still Ongoing - Management

The management of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday faulted the news making rounds that the union has suspended its ongoing nine months strike. 

AllNews gathered that the Chairman of the University of Jos Chapter of ASUU, Lazarus Maigoro who disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Jos said the union has not signed any agreement with the Federal Government to call off the strike as being purported in some quarters. 2. #EndSARS: Gov Fayemi Tells Protesters What To Do

The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has called on the #EndSARS campaigners and youths in the country to employ stealth rather than brigandage in pushing for social change.

Nigerian journalist, Kiki Mordi has refuted accusations she robbed people of their ideas in respect of the multi-award-winning Sex for Grades Documentary by the BBC.

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Edward Onoja has seemingly sided Bishop David Oyedepo, the Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, who at the ongoing Shiloh 2020 stated that he has zero regard for COVID-19.

6. Nigeria's Ambassador To US, Sylvanus Nsofor, Is Dead

Nigeria's ambassador to the US, Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor, has died, aged 85.

The former diplomat died late Thursday evening, although, there has been disclosure regarding the cause of death. Read more here.

7. Former Minister, Aminu Wali Acquitted Of Corruption Charges

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali who was accused of receiving N950 campaign funds from the People Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2015 presidential election has been discharged and acquitted by the Federal High Court in Kano.

8. Imo By-Election: INEC Explains Why It Declared APC Winner Without A Candidate

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has explained why it declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the December 5 by-election (Imo North District Senatorial) despite the court controversies surrounding the party's candidacy.

Stating the reason why the commission declared APC as the winner of the By-election during a recent interview with Arise Tv, Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and chairman of Information and voters education explained that the courts that ruled on the candidacy battle of APC did not direct that the name and logo of the party be taken off the ballot papers. 9. COVID-19: Health Minister Speaks On Second Wave Of Virus In Nigeria

Following the recent updates of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the country, the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire has warned that Nigeria may be on the verge of a second wave of the virus. 

Osagie Ehanire who made this known at the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 daily press briefing in Abuja on Thursday said 1,843 cases were recorded last week compared with 1,235 two weeks before that. Read more here.

10. Pastor Timi Adigun Accused Of Sexually Molesting Teenagers In His Church

The Pastor of The Ark Church and the founder of MINE Teenage Ministry, Timi Adigun has been accused by several members of his church of sexually abusing and harassing teenage girls and ladies. 

Pastor Adigun who created the MINE Teenage ministry with the sole purpose of raising teenagers to focus on sexual purity has been alleged for sexual abuse and molestation with the same teenage girls and ladies whom he is supposed to counsel against sexual immorality. Read more here.
