Women of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state have taken to the street to protest the removal of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Frank Okiye, who was impeached Thursday by a faction of the lawmakers.

Nwannekaenyi "Nnamdi" Kanu, a Nigerian Biafra political activist, and leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group canvassing for the secession and sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria says although the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB's) Ralph Uwazuruike founded Radio Biafra, 'I resurrected it with my money'.

Radio Biafra, also known as Voice of Biafra, is a radio station that was founded by the government of the defunct Republic of Biafra (a state in West Africa that existed from May 1967 to January 1970). Read more here.

Nwannekaenyi "Nnamdi" Kanu, a Nigerian Biafra political activist, and leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group canvassing for the secession and sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria says had God created him a white man, he would be a racist towards blacks, 'because of the flawed way they reason'.

6. Ogun Monarch 'Caught' Having Sex With Own Daughter

(Baale) Rasheed Sholabi, of Oose Agbedu Ajibawo in Owode-Yewa area of Ogun State, has been arrested by the State Police for having unlawful carnal knowledge of his 15-year-old biological daughter.

Confirming the report to newsmen on Thursday, the Ogun State Police Image Maker, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the Baale was arrested following a report by his daughter, who walked into Owode Egbado Police Station and reported that her father has been having sex with her since when she was 11 years old. A Dangote cement truck has caused havoc in Ogun state as one person has been confirmed dead in a road crash.

10. COVID-19: Claim On Palliatives Baseless, Odili Tackles Jackrich

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has refuted claims by the erstwhile Chairman of the COVID-19 Palliatives Distribution Committee of the NDDC, High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, that N6.25 billion funds approved for the procurement and distribution of COVID 19 palliatives to the poor people of the Niger Delta region was embezzled by the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

The Commission in a statement signed by NDDC Director, Corporate Affairs, Charles Obi Odili and sent to AllNews on Thursday stated that the allegation, “is another false claim orchestrated by the same forces who have been waging a campaign of falsehood against the Commission and its management since President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a forensic audit of the operations of the Commission in the past 19 years. Although the Commission is minded to ignore this claim, we have to respond to re-assure our stakeholders that the IMC is honest in the management of the common trust in their care.” Read more here.
